John H. Loos

	John H. Ike Loos, age 76, of Pinckneyville, died on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Belleville.
	Mr. Loos was born March 30, 1925 in Pinckneyville, the son of John H. Loos Sr. and Emma (Yung) Loos. He married Adriana Bathon on May 21, 1946 in Pinckneyville and she preceded him on May 15, 1970. 
	During his lifetime Mr. Loos was a farmer and a member of Operating Engineers Local #520. He was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus #2921 in Pinckneyville.
	Survivors include six daughters, Rosemary Bochantin and husband Paul of Nashville, Shirley Geppert of Dyersburg, Tenn., Florence Suchomski and husband Rich of Champaign, Dorothy Wildermuth and husband Wayne of Pinckneyville, Joan Williams and husband Don of Florence, S.C. and Susan Jones and husband Scott of Aledo, Tex., seven sons: Charles J. and wife Jane of Jourdanton, Tex., Robert and wife Joan of Belleville, Thomas and wife Darla of Steeleville, Eugene of Pinckneyville, Joseph and wife Cindy of Pinckneyville, Dennis and wife Tammy of Belleville, Kenneth and wife Elaine of Percy; two sisters, Irene Marlow and Mildred Wildermuth, both of Pinckneyville; forty-two grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. 
	He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters: Katherine Loos in infancy and Marie Bathon, a brother: Charles Loos in infancy; three grandchildren, and a son-in-law, Ray Geppert.
	Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2001 at St. Bruno Catholic Church with Fr. John Venegoni officiating. Interment was in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery. 
	Friends called at St. Bruno Catholic Church from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until the hour of services Monday. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus Chalice Ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m., both on Sunday.
	Memorials may be made to St. Brunos Catholic Church.
The Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville was in charge of arrangements.
